Gutless Republicans

Conservative Republicans consistently tell others that they are for smaller government and greater personal freedoms. Is this correct? What small government creates more sub-committees and a new cabinet position? What small government federalizes Airport workers? Have the Republicans lost their conservativism and adopted a more moderate stance on issues?

The way the Left-Wing do their business in politics is to:

  • Look at polls and statistics to decide what position they will take.
  • Bash the Right on any issue.
  • Appeal to the emotions instead of using logic.

However, the core values of the Republican Party of smaller government and personal freedoms are being exchanged by some of the Liberal habits. I have seen Republicans too often look at polls and all-your-basing their action on what the majority of the American public want instead of doing what is prudent for the future. The Republican Party needs to re-strengthen by taking a firm stand on issues and returning to their core values. This is the main reason why the Libertarian Party has gained significant ground as a political party, by picking up those that are discontent with the direction that the Republican Party is heading. It would be unwise to let the left-wing defeat a good bill without putting up a strong fight. My advice to the Republicans...play hard-ball.
