Cell Phone Common Sense

Politics

Yesterday I heard about the state of New York banning the use of cell phones for motorists and that drivers can only use the cell phone to call 9-1-1 in case of emergencies. So what is my opinion? It is another scheme to take a little bit of your rights away. Soon they will dictate that you cannot wear shorts in your own car or use the air conditioning because it pollutes the environment. So what other rights are they going to take away from you next? You be the judge of that...I'm pretty sure that there is some other aspect in your life that the government oversteps its bounds to pry into. So what other privacies and freedoms are you willing to give away? Think about it, we have the technology to have cell phones yet we are not allowed use it in the car. I think that people need to use their own common sense when it comes to something like that. If they choose to use their cell phones while driving that is fine with me, however they will be responsible for their own actions if they get into an accident or mangle up their own car crashing into the curb. However, DO NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT DECIDE FOR YOU unless you want them to control your thoughts and actions in the future. I hook myself up to the hands free device before I start up my car and that is using my COMMON SENSE and own good judgement. Oh yeah, also use common sense and be courteous to others when in movie theaters, class, and other quiet places and turn off your cell phone or get one that vibrates.
